The story behind...

Nordisk Finmekanik Industri A/S was founded in 1994 by Henrik Thomsen in Næstved. In 2005, the company moved to modern facilities at Centervej Syd in Tappernøje — a central location just a few hundred metres from the E45 motorway.

In 2011, a new production hall with a 24 m² cleanroom and dedicated medical device facility was added.

In 2024, NFI became part of the AKJ Industri group (www.akj-industri.dk).

By 2026, NFI will complete a new production hall, doubling its production area to optimize space and increase capacity.

Since its founding, NFI has maintained a clear goal — to deliver high-quality components at competitive prices. This is made possible by skilled and motivated employees, regarded as the company’s most valuable asset, combined with modern high-tech machinery.

With strict production management and efficient quality control, NFI has established a strong position as a trusted subcontractor for leading Danish and international manufacturers.
